Melba Restaurant will be heating things up on Tuesday, 15th August in celebration of Indian Independence Day.

No spice will be spared with a line up of authentic Indian dishes crafted by Melba Restaurant’s Executive Chef Deepak Mishra

From bhuna gosht goat curry, to Kerala prawn curry and dal makhani, expect the best of  South Asian cuisine.

As well as the pop-up Dosa Station, the tandoori station will be serving hot naan bread, saffron cottage cheese  and more.

With dessert including gulab jamun cheesecake, make your reservation now to avoid disappointment.

Indian Independence Day Dinner Features:
Malai chicken kebab – chicken pieces marinated with spices, cream and cheddar cheese and cooked in Tandoori oven
Saffron paneer tikka - saffron and spices marinated cottage cheese cooked in tandoori oven
Gilafi seekh - lamb kebab coated with assorted sweet peppers
Raan - marinated whole leg of lamb  cooked in tandoor
Samosas -  hot savoury filled pastry with curried vegetables and potato
Mini Dosa – Indian crepe with a choice of savoury filling  
Malai kofta - cheese and dry fruits dumpling in a creamy cashew nut gravy  
Dal Maharani – buttery slow cooked black lentils, red kidney beans with secret spices
Kerala prawn curry - prawns cooked in Indian coastal spices, finished with coconut milk
Chicken tikka masala
Bhuna gosht – curried lamb cooked with crisp brown onion and tomatoes
Kachi gosht ki biryani - long grain basmati rice and marinated goat cooked with aromatic whole spices and saffron.
Hot naan bread served plain or with assortment of vegetarian and meat filling
Gulab jamun cheese cake with a hint of rose
Indian alphonso mango mousse and pistachio crumble
Warm carrot halwa with cardamom barfi nibble – carrot and milk pudding with cardamom scented sweet cheese nibbles
