Is The Langham, Melbourne the City’s Most Romantic Hotel?

IS THE LANGHAM, MELBOURNE THE CITY’S MOST ROMANTIC HOTEL? GUESTS KEEP COMING BACK SAYING IT’S THE ULTIMATE HOTEL FOR ROMANCE IN MELBOURNE

January 2020…. Perhaps it’s the pink? Maybe it’s Melba Restaurant? It could be the hotel’s recent Condé Nast Readers’ Choice award? It might be the Champagne, the attentive service or the view, but one thing is for certain, guests of The Langham, Melbourne keep coming back to celebrate romantic occasions, including Valentine’s Day.

On Friday 14 February 2020, couples will once again flock to the hotel to be pampered at Chuan Spa, indulge in Melba Restaurant’s decadent offerings from the open kitchen, sip Champagne and feast on caviar at Aria Bar & Lounge or even spend the night in one of the city’s only suites to boast an expansive outdoor terrace with sweeping views of the city’s skyline and Yarra River.

Aria Bar & Lounge will be offering what is arguably Melbourne’s most indulgent afternoon tea. The Aria Bar & Lounge Valentine’s Day high tea ($235.00 per person) includes a decadent 10 gram tin of black pearl Siberian caviar accompanied by blinis, crème fraîche and chives as well as a glass of Veuve Clicquot Champagne and a generous seafood platter laden with lobster, prawns, salmon sashimi and oysters.

Plus, couples will be served a heart-shaped Glenmorangie Nectar d’or whisky chocolate love cake with wild morello cherries. Is this possibly Australia’s most romantic high tea?

For those that believe the adage that the way to the heart is via the stomach, Melba Restaurant is sure to please even the most hungry or fussy eater. For Valentine’s Day dinner there will be two options including a Crown lager and either a local sparkling wine from the Yarra Valley ($155.00 per person) or French Champagne from Veuve Clicquot ($199.00 per person). Couples may secure a window table for an additional $60.00.

Dinner is available from 5pm until 7.30pm and 8.30pm until 11pm. A full menu is available here: Valentine’s Day Dinner

For those who are able to carve out time at lunch to celebrate Valentine’s Day, Melba Restaurant’s menu will include Coffin Bay oysters, Mooloolaba king prawns and old-school seafood Mornay with Milawa cheddar and Timboon gratin for $109.00 per person including a glass of Chandon sparkling wine or Crown lager.
