The Langham, Melbourne Hosts Minions-themed Children’s Tea during the January 2022 Summer School Holidays
October 2021…. Bee-do, Bee-do! Dig out the denim dungarees, The Langham, Melbourne is hosting a Free the Fun Minions children’s tea on weekdays from Tuesday 4 January until Friday 14 January.
Over many years, The Langham, Melbourne has earned a reputation as being the unofficial home of children’s high teas. The Minions-themed children’s tea will take place in the spacious Melba Restaurant overlooking the Yarra River.
There will be no mention of home-schooling as children feast on egg mayonnaise sandwiches, nibble a choux pastry topped with spiced carrot cream cheese or munch on a grown-up avocado tart with smoked turkey.
Plus, children will enjoy an indulgent mini pizza roll with ham and pineapple jam and there will be plenty of banana featured including a Minion-yellow banana cupcake and bright sunshine yellow banana macaron.
Other treats include a Kevin-inspired marshmallow lollipop and a Stuart-themed shortbread cookie.
Adults will be served Aria Bar & Lounge’s signature three-tiered stand and Wedgwood tea including The Langham, Melbourne’s renowned freshly-baked scones with local Yarra Valley cream and preserves as well as a generous selection of savoury canapés and sweet desserts.
$75.00 per child includes a Minions colouring activity book and a Minions Splat Ems Playset to take home. $79.00 per adult includes morning or afternoon tea with Wedgwood and a glass of premium sparkling wine.
Children are able to enter a draw to win a “one in a Minion” stay-cation experience at The Langham, Melbourne. The lucky winner and their family will win a luxurious overnight stay at the hotel in a room fit for a Minion complete with Minion-themed linen and plenty of Minion toys and surprises to enjoy.
Guests are encouraged to don denim overalls and black workboots. The goggles and hard-hat are purely optional.
Due to popular demand, there will be two sessions daily at 11.30am until 1pm and from 2pm until 3.30pm.
